Happy Monday friends! I know getting back into the work cycle after a long week really bites but I also hope you are all starting to take advantage of the incredible sales online. I put together a little outfit inspiration for a look for less that I like to call cash or credit. I just love the color combination of this army green with the pink faux fur hood. I was so thrilled to find it at two very different price points. The best part, most of the outfit below is marked down even further for all the cyber Monday sales. Happy Shopping!

Thanksgiving Wear
This year we are hosting our family for Thanksgiving in Boston. Since we are dining out I am torn about what to wear this year. Considering the holiday is one that is based around indulgence in delicious stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie. I would say it's safe to say key is comfort. While most of us would be thrilled to be in our loosest of clothing I put together three looks that will help hide your Thanksgiving food baby wether it be under a loose blouse, a comfortable sweater or a ruffled dress :).

What's On The Outside
One of the best parts of this time of year is the ability to walk out the door with a great piece of outerwear on. While I am certainly not into the thought of puffers and full on snow gear, I am all about the lighter outwear like ponchos, jackets & wool coats. I compiled a few of my favorites below & added some more in the shop the post feed. The poncho/cape is definitely my go to right now. I love clothing that feels like a warm blanket wrapped around me on a cool day. As I search for a proper coat come cooler weather, I'd love to hear what's your favorite outwear?

Borrowed From The Boys
Ok, I am all for flats as as sensible shoe, they can be cute and comfy. So while I am really a heels kinda girl, city living means lots of walking and that is definitely not friendly to a stiletto. I however am having trouble getting behind the recent trend of menswear being translated into woman's footwear. This year at NYFW sneakers, loafers and oxfords were seen all over the street styles of fashionista's which I am sure was welcomed jumping show to show but part of me just thinks the look was way to bulky and unfeminine. I'm curious, am I alone here???
What do you think of this trend?

Currently Coveting
I don't want to wish away summer - it's going by too fast as it is...but let's face it, nothing is better then fall fashion. I have been building a little wish list for my fall wardrobe must haves and they consist of lots of basics {per usual} but amping those pieces up with some stellar accessories. What are you craving to have in your wardrobe this coming fall???

Tibi Crossover Tank // Vera Wang Statement Necklace // Iphone Case // J.Crew Destroyed Denim // Vince Jacket // Aquazurra Sexy Thing Sandal // J.Crew White Blouse // J.Crew Tassel Bracelet // Rebecca Taylor Dress // Feather Clip // Calypso Short Sleeve Sweater // Beaded Clutch // SJP Pumps

On The Road Again

A short post today as we are off to a last minute getaway in the woods of Vermont. I was silly to think the end of summer would mean that our schedules would be less busy but I have to say I adore my husbands last minute planning and spontaneous nature, life is never boring with this man of mine! We haven't been back to Vermont since our epic weekend getaway at Twin Farms so I am super excited to soak up some cooler temperatures, hopefully catch a bit of the early autumns season and just breath in some of the good old country air. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
I will be taking tomorrows weekend wear post off so I thought I would do a dreamy fall inspired round up of both luxurious and affordable finds that would make for a cozy New England weekend!

shoe savvy
Every Spring I hunt for the perfect nude sandal that can be worn with jeans as well as dresses. While I know exactly what I want, I don't know why it has been nearly impossible to find it in stores. I want something with a modest heel as I walk all around the city in heels and cannot be on stilts, something versatile for day and night as well as the right color tan that will go with everything. My top picks for a great neutral sandal are listed below... I know I have a favorite, do you???

room to outfit
I have written many times about my complete admiration for anything animal print. I love being inspired by home decor and incorporating the overall look into your wardrobe, especially when it features a feisty tigress pattern. When I saw this photo on Coco & Kelley post on the "color of the moment fuchsia" I immediately saved it to hopefully use one day in a home of my own, then I saw the price tag of that chair and was on the hunt for a more affordable version that was still equally fabulous style which I found here {sans the leopard}. I adore that bright magenta dresser with the brass hardware giving it a a very glamorous polished look. I think it is perfectly paired with the gold trim leopard chair and warm colored floral artwork. I would use this in an office for storage and admire it's colorful existence every day. However since city living doesn't provide much square footage to allow a full on office space I will continue blogging on my lap top from my couch and put this beautiful image to good use in an outfit!

what to wear - holiday edition - part 2
For those who don't need to or care to dress up but still want to look good as well as be comfy look no further then the stylish pajama ensemble below. While I cringe at the thought of adults wearing pj's in public, I think this outfit is totally appropriate for running to the market (or liquor store) in for a quick errand - swap out the slippers for some uggs and the robe for a jacket and your good to go!
