Framily

It's that time of year - Friends & Family sales are popping up everywhere {happening at Lord & Taylor too}! It's the perfect time to stock up on Spring and Summer wear {or a mothers day gift} with deep discounts. This Shopbop sale has to be one of the best available online as they offer free shipping and returns as well as a million different designer brands at all different price points allowing you to mix high and low without breaking the bank. I picked out a few of my favorites from the sale - oh and the best part...every.single.item below is under $100! When checking out just enter code INTHEFAMILY14 and boom 25% off your order is deducted from your total.

Weekend Wear - Welcome Spring

After a week in paradise I am sooooo not interested in going back to sweaters and coats. Luckily for us in Boston it looks as though Spring might grace us next week and I will be breaking out my favorite silk blouses, classic trench coats & some white denim. What do you look forward to wearing come warmer weather?

Sweaters & Statements

As the temps have been dropping here in Boston it's becoming more difficult to look cute as we have to be bundled up to face the elements. I am not quite ready for coat weather as my favorite thing about fall is the luxury of being able to walk out the door with a sweater and jeans. However here in New England, that lasted for about a month then earlier this weak winter peaked it's ugly head into our city. So despite my reluctance to break out the outerwear, I will be doing my best to look put together underneath them. My go to is a cozy sweater and of course some fabulous statement jewelry.

On The Road Again

image
A short post today as we are off to a last minute getaway in the woods of Vermont. I was silly to think the end of summer would mean that our schedules would be less busy but I have to say I adore my husbands last minute planning and spontaneous nature, life is never boring with this man of mine! We haven't been back to Vermont since our epic weekend getaway at Twin Farms so I am super excited to soak up some cooler temperatures, hopefully catch a bit of the early autumns season and just breath in some of the good old country air. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

I will be taking tomorrows weekend wear post off so I thought I would do a dreamy fall inspired round up of both luxurious and affordable finds that would make for a cozy New England weekend!

Make A Statement - With Your Ears

When it comes to accessorizing I must admit I favor the statement necklace or a large cocktail ring over earrings. I all too often forget to remove the diamond studs that were gifted to me from my dad and have been wearing since I was sixteen. I also find when I do go for earrings it's usually only in the warmer months where a large chunky necklace feels oh so suffocating. I think summer attire is also all a bit more revealing around the decolletage area allowing a larger earring to be noticed. However I may break all by styling habits after my sister gave me a gorgeous pair of colored drop earrings this Christmas...however one rule I can never break is a statement earring/necklace combination - it's all too, too much for my taste, I prefer to pick one bold statement piece and minimize the rest so you don't look like your wearing your entire jewelry box. What do you think of these styles, would you wear this look???
