This year we are hosting our family for Thanksgiving in Boston. Since we are dining out I am torn about what to wear this year. Considering the holiday is one that is based around indulgence in delicious stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie. I would say it's safe to say key is comfort. While most of us would be thrilled to be in our loosest of clothing I put together three looks that will help hide your Thanksgiving food baby wether it be under a loose blouse, a comfortable sweater or a ruffled dress :).

On The Road Again

A short post today as we are off to a last minute getaway in the woods of Vermont. I was silly to think the end of summer would mean that our schedules would be less busy but I have to say I adore my husbands last minute planning and spontaneous nature, life is never boring with this man of mine! We haven't been back to Vermont since our epic weekend getaway at Twin Farms so I am super excited to soak up some cooler temperatures, hopefully catch a bit of the early autumns season and just breath in some of the good old country air. I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
I will be taking tomorrows weekend wear post off so I thought I would do a dreamy fall inspired round up of both luxurious and affordable finds that would make for a cozy New England weekend!

like mother like daughter
Remember stores like Oilily where you they offered everything in adult size to match your toddler? I would cringe at the thought of matching your outfit with your kids. I then came across some adorable photos of mothers and daughters with coordinating looks that I thought were super stylish and simply sweet. Would you dress like your child or is this look too much???
fabulousness in training
so cute for a staged photo
isn't everything precious in black & white
this little girl has some sass pointing that finger!
if only the pooch matched with a blue parka

spike the punch - giveaway
I am beyond excited for today's post! After several attempts to score one of the famous Rainey necklaces from the fabulous Spike The Punch Etsy shop I finally got one and I am head over heels about it! Not only is the shop owner a total sweetheart, the shipping is fast, affordable & comes in a very stylish leopard package - yes please! These necklaces are big time commodity ladies - they sell out in a hot second and each time they are listed the colors are usually a limited edition and not to be seen again. While I will most definitely keep at it to offer you the hard to get/easy to love Rainey necklace for another giveaway - today is all about her fab new design called The Gabrielle (not available in her store at this time either). This hot pink and gold chain necklace is a super fun design that is the perfect pop of color to the Spring/Summer wardrobe. Since this is my first give away your chances to win are truly on your side! See below how to enter to win this gorgeous necklace and check back Monday, April 30th 2012 to see who the lucky winner is!

color crush - minty fresh
Is anyone else totally obsessed with the color craze that is happening in everything from wardrobe to home interiors??? Since I am a fully confessed chromophobe ( I totes had to look that word up) it really is forcing me to be more daring with my wardrobe and shop for items that add some interest into each ensemble. While I do love color, I often don't wear it. This refreshing and warm version of green may just change that. I am seriously swooning over how feminine and soft this pale green looks with so many other colors. It is screaming Spring & happier longer days. I think this minty color is perfectly paired with other neutrals such as navy's, beige's and whites. How would you wear this fab color? Part two will feature some beautiful images of this color splashed in almost every room of a home!
