The White Bag

Spring has finally sprung here in Boston and I couldn't be happier about it. This past Saturday while my husband was out and about with his buddies I decided to take myself for a stroll around the city and do some window shopping (and maybe even a little actual shopping). One item in particular I kept noticing and was really loving was the white bag. Who knew that this simple little accessory could be so versatile and go with every single thing in your closet. I broke down my three favorite style bags and then options in different price points, the Burberry tote has me weak in the knees.

Color Crush - Oxblood

It's no news flash that oxblood is most definitely the "it" color of the moment. I have been searching for the right item to add to my closet in this winey shade then I spotted some vamp red cords on a lunch break. They were perfect for the fall and when I first wore them I instantly became obsessed with the color in every form it was available. They are dark enough for my taste to not truly stand out too much on the bottom half and they coordinate with so many other colors effortlessly {my favorite is to mix with golds and nudes}. I was anxious to pair my new favorite color with my mirrored gold pumps and these dressed down pants fit the bill for the much dressier shoe. I have a feeling this will become one of my favorite go to looks for the fall.
What's your opinion on this color, is this hue for you???

I See Sunshine

The sun is finally gracing us with it's appearance in Boston and I feel so much happier that summer is  lurking around the corner. Last week I broke my favorite pair of shades and it had me on the hunt for some new ones. Being that I am terrible with change, I wound up purchasing the same exact pair but it had me thinking that sunglasses might be on the most perfect accessories out there. They can make a statement and express your personal style so easily. Whether your into the likes of an over-sized "Jackie-O" version or the classic aviator, their is a look out there for everyone. Even performance glasses don't have to be off trend, just look at those Nike beauties below. Almost every style has come back full circle such as the infamous wayfarers (I used to sport the neon version way back when) or the retro cat eye glasses like the DVF's below. These days you truly have your selection in the sunnies department, colors, shapes and prints galore! Sunglasses can be flirtatious, hide your blood shot eyes after a rough night out, hold your hair back while sun bathing and or hide some dozing off while sitting through something uber boring. The only negative styling trend I can think of are the tools  people who insist on wearing them at night, I cannot stand that. These are for daylight only people! Which look is your favorite???

the london look

Are you tired of my many blog posts today or what??? If so - stop reading now! I couldn't resist sharing one more tid bit of London fabulousness as those gorgeous hotels had me daydreaming of an champagne tea & strolling along the Thames with the hubs like we did in 2009. I created an entire look from British designers and now I am utterly obsessed with that McQueen handbag & Mulberry shoes! Ever since my short stint studying abroad while in college, I have always felt London was the most fashion forward city in the world (I think a pretty bold statement coming from a New Yorker). I just adore all their designers and from my searches in creating this ensemble below I truly believe they still carry the torch on that title!

gowns galore

Award season is here which means most woman will be tuning in Sunday nights to watch the red carpet coverage so we can all ooh and ahhh over all the fabulous gowns the stars are wearing. I always wanted to host a party where my friends and I would get all dressed up in best duds and watch the Oscars. Because let's face it real life doesn't have many places where you can wear a ball gown. Maybe that is why most brides never want to take off their gowns on the big day - when do most normal people get a chance to be in such a pretty dress again??? Below are some beautiful dresses that would be perfect for any award show anyone has to go too. Only problemo is the price tag - these beauties don't come cheap! Part 2 will have some fun ideas on how to throw a chic award party in your home!
