Day Dresses

As the warmer temps hit here in Boston, I find myself reaching for my favorite day dresses for running errands around town. Not only is it easier to not have to plan a full outfit but a casual day dress is also super comfortable. I recently wore that floral green number below and was stopped a few times asking where it was from {so affordable from gap}. So I thought I would put together a little round up of some of my favorites to keep cool and look good this summer!

Lady In Red

Growing up I pretty much wore a red dress to every special occasion I had. My sweet sixteen, numerous proms and pretty much anytime I had to wear a dress, I gravitated to the bold hue. I must have overdosed on the color during my younger years because after high school I never ever chose the crimson color in any part of my wardrobe. Well that is all changing this weekend when I celebrate one of my favorite peoples special days. After feeling like a whale in the dress I originally planned on wearing, I quickly ordered a back up dress online and decided to wear a red gown to the black tie affair. The ruby colored dress felt formal and elegant, just what I wanted.

Meet Me In The Middle

Earlier this summer I jumped on board with the midi trend when I purchased this dress. The starburst printed dress quickly became a favorite of mine to throw on for casual and for dressier occasions as the length allowed me to wear a casual thong sandal or my beloved kitten heel version. This in between length is elegant and easy breezy to wear, a double win in my book. Unlike it's not too distant relative the maxi dress, your hem will not drag along the streets or cause you to trip as you walk around town {like I have done so many many times}. Since I am so completely smitten with this new to me length I purchased another midi length dress and thought I would share some other stylish finds in this lady like length so you can give it a try in your wardrobe!

Just Lovely

When I was on the hunt for my wedding gown one of my must see bridal boutiques was the charming Lovely Bridal Shop.  It's hidden location in the West Village of NYC already oozes incredible amounts of charm but once you step inside you are in for a major overdose of everything pretty. Just look at their amazing showroom below overflowing with everything bridal, bridesmaid and accessories.

You can imagine my delight when I saw that the fabulous ladies from Lovely Bridal brought in a new line of some very fashionable attire for everyday wear called Shop Lovely. The best part??? The price point! Everything is under $100. While they offer great separates and jumpers, I am partial to the dresses, some of my favorites are below.
