Covered Up

It may be snowing AGAIN outside but I can't help dream of summer and the carefree fashions that go along with it. While we were away in St. Barth's I was so inspired by the colorful island style that surrounded me. It had me craving more breezy casual clothing, living in your bathing suit all day and life on the beach. One trend that I was all about was the comfortable beach pant and jumpsuits {wearing this one in that last photo}. It was so easy to throw on pants over my bathing suit and head to the pool or the beach without any effort. So I created four looks featuring just that, one bathing suit {I always prefer a one piece} that is perfectly coordinated with beach pants, jumpsuit and all beachwear accoutrement. Just Beachy

I don't know about you all but I am looking forward to spending as much time at the beach as possible this Summer. Growing up on Long Island near some of New York's best beaches meant we visited the ocean year round. However it's pretty safe to say when the temps rise and the sun is out, there is no better time to visit the beach then in the summer. While I don't get to visit our childhood destination of Fire Island anymore, I am happy as a clam wherever there is sand, water & my beach essentials like the little round up below. Is there anything better then reading some favorite magazines or a great novel with your toes in the sand? I think not.

Weekend Wear - Last Summer Purchase

Well another week has come and gone and I don't know about you but summer is flying by for me in a blink of an eye. Isn't the saying that "time flies when your having fun" all too true??? I am having the best summer of my life and I am already dreading it's end even though I love love love the fall {and all the fabulous fashions that come with it}. While summer sales are always the best for the old bank account I told myself I made my last purchase of the season when I added the dress below to my wardrobe. We have a fun weekend away planned for my husbands birthday this fall and I cannot wait to wear it for him. Below is exactly how I hope to style it come cooler weather.
