Color Crush - Emerald

Every year the source for all things color, Pantone select a "color of the year". This year I am completely loving this years winner emerald green. I have always coveted this rich gemstone color for its ability to pair well with so many other colors. Its effortlessly chic when combined with with aqua, super preppy with navy and simply stunning with other favorites like cool grays and luxe golds. I constantly find myself buying more and more green every year, especially in accessories and clothing. However this color isn't only amazing for the wardrobe, it looks incredible in the home as well. Take a look at some of my favorite emerald items for your closet and for your casa.

Pillow Talk - Part 2 - Room to Outfit

One of my favorite features on the blog is the room to outfit posts. Today I decided to create a look from the ahhhhmazing portfolio of Caitlin Wilson Interiors who I featured my pillow crush on earlier today. I came across the photo below and knew I wanted this gorgeous dining room would make an incredible outfit and the color palette is perfection for this time of year. I am DYING over those floors & velvet chairs - swoon.

what to wear - holiday edition

Just because the people in my family are the only ones to see me on Christmas doesn't mean I don't like to get all dolled up for the holiday festivities! My father is the king of the photo album which means that every occasion in our family will be photographed and kept in a tidy leather bound book for all to see for many years to come. I love looking back at all the outfits that we all chose to wear for the holidays, I think one of my worst was in 1997 when I thought the bright blue button down work shirt paired with a black merino wool turtleneck underneath was hot - soooo not. Hopefully this year I will be wearing something a little more stylish so I created three holiday looks from luxe to lazy - because I believe that even if your wearing sweats you should still look cute!
