Rosé Season

While it feels a bit odd to be writing about wine at six am in the morning, I couldn't resist sharing a few favorites of summer's "It" drink. I feel it's safe to say that summer is no doubt rosé season. This delicious elixir is oh so refreshing on a hot summers days and nights, not too pricey and let's not forget that pretty pink coloration. Combine that with some stylish packaging and you have yourself a great hostess gift or something for you to enjoy at home. Just take a look at the little round up below.

Club W

I don't belong to many monthly subscription services but when I read that Club W ships wine to my door I knew this was definitely a company I could get behind. What is different about this company is they offer limited time small batch wineries you may not otherwise know of or have the opportunity to taste. They are all priced extremely well and you can take a break any time by adjusting your preferences. I personally love that they come with little information cards letting you know what they pair well with, a description of the flavor and some general tidbits about the winery it came from. You can join here to get a little signing bonus off your first order or visit the site to check things out. If you visit their blog "the juice" you will get tons of information about what's going on in the wine world, delicious recipes and more. I just got my first delivery of the beautiful bottles and can't wait to try them all. I definitely will be gifting this service for my wine loving friends and family. Some of the available wines right now are below.

#SpeakSoon

I am a major sucker for good packaging. You could pretty much wrap a muddy twig in something beautiful and I will likely buy it. So when I saw the gorgeous labels of Speak Wines, I was instantly lured in to discover more about the wine behind the artistic bottles. The company was started over what else? A glass of wine. Combine that with their genuine love of sweet sayings and style and you have a fabulous formula for a great product. What I am really loving is that while the packaging sure is easy on the eyes, they really do focus on the wine being stellar and at a friendly price point. I just ordered a case and will happily reporting back my findings. In the meantime I also put together a little round up of my favorite entertaining pieces that go coordinate brilliantly with the beauties above.

Tasting Room

I feel like a broken record these days with my bad posting habits. Honestly, the internet was horrific in NYC and I couldn't get a single thing done without losing my mind, so my sincere apologies for the lack of a post yesterday. I don't know how anyone gets anything done in that city! We arrived in Washington D.C. last night and lucky for me the internet is working - yahooooooo! As I was perusing instagram last night, I spotted such fun concept on one of my favorite bloggers - Note To Self feed and I thought I would share with you in case you haven't seen. The Tasting Room is a personalized wine club where you are sent samples of several wines which allows you to try a variety of brands and different grapes to find the perfect wine to satisfy for your taste. The starter kit {$9.95} will send you a few petite sample bottles of which you rate to your liking, submit to the company and they curate larger bottles based on those reviews. It's such a clever idea for those who can find selecting wine a daunting process. It also makes a great gift for the wine lovers out there!

Wine To Go

I love good packaging. I pretty much have purchased rocks simply because of the cute little wrapping they came in. So when I saw these Stack Wines, my curiosity was peaked. These four little glasses to go are the most genius way to pack wine for camping, tailgating, picnics or simply perfect when you want a glass of wine without opening an entire bottle {usually not the case for me but some people have more self control then moi}. They are priced around $12 "a bottle" and come in four flavors. Now if they could just make a sauvignon blanc they would have a new customer on their hands.

Holiday Gift Guide - For the Host/Hostess

Holidays are the biggest time of year for entertaining within the home. Show your host/hostess your appreciation of their hospitality with these fab gift ideas. Happy Gift Giving!

Untitled #226

Every kitchen and bath would be beautifully adorned with these gorgeous lightly scented soaps and creams.

The worst part about being a host/hostess is the dang clean up! Help keep the settings stylish and the aftermath easy breezy with these elegant yet disposable paper placemats. They will look positively chic under your dishes for a dinner party.

It may not be up to you decide if your host/hostess was naughty or nice. We all know Santa controls that list! However you can give them these whimsical candles for them to light depending on their mood.

I am far from a chocolate lover, however almost everyone else in the universe is. This chocolate peppermint bark might as well be crack it's so good. I have never ever met a person who doesn't love it.

Vino, the "go to" gift for all housewarmings or host gifts. I love the idea of giving a great bottle along with a stylish decanter, hopefully your hosts are generous and will open it while you are there for everyones enjoying ...win-win.

These adorable animal shot glasses aren't just for doing a shots out of,  they can be used for votives or for holding small snacks! Flip the lid upside down and you have a built in stand for your mini cup. {DNS favorite}

If you are a messy chef like moi an apron is always appreciated, especially one that isn't so "Betty Crocker-ish". This modern Ikat print works for either the man or the woman of the house.

In my personal opinion nothing is better paired with wine more so than my beloved cheese. I am also pretty confident when I say that everyone loves something monogrammed. This cheese board is the best of both worlds and the price point is spot on! Want to bring some cheese along with that board? Check out all you need to know about crowd pleasing cheese here.

I love paper BIG TIME - this metallic gold and white striped are the most adorable thank you notes, good for just about any occasion.

I am 100% a white wine gal and there is nothing worse then being served warm white wine or gasp white wine served with ice {unless its a spritzer of course}. Voila - the perfect non watery wine chiller that gets your vino to the perfect temperature in a flash!

A ceramic owl may seem like an odd item to give as a gift. However this cute little guy serves two purposes. First off he is adorable {comes in many colors & sizes} and would look great as decor on any shelf or overlooking the house on a kitchen counter. Secondly, a portion {$5} of the price goes to St. Judes Children Hospital! What is better then giving a gift that does so much good. Afterall it is the time of year to share the love and I can't think of anything more deserving then sick children who aren't as fortunate as we are! {any DNS sales of this owl will also be donated}
