Girls Only

No offense to the fellas but today is strictly for girls only. Today I want to to talk about the garments that we wear underneath all our fashionable items. You know those torture devices that keep everything in place and smooths out our figures to look it's best in your clothes.  Pretty much every woman I know has worn some sort of shape wear, even the thin gals need a little help keeping everything where it should be. I will never forget the first time my husband saw me putting on a pair of tights {it looked something like this} that had the built in control top. The ridiculous maneuvers and moves I displayed as I squeezed my german hips into these impossibly taught nylons left him stunned like a deer in headlights...I knew when he stayed with me after that it was true love and also that some women's secrets are better put on in the bathroom where no one witnesses you squirm into spandex. So back to the task at hand being the curvy gal that I am I have tried about a million different styles and finally have a few favorites that I thought are perfect for wearing under dresses, pants and whatever else your body desires. 

Monogram Me

I love me a monogram, especially when I got my husbands last name, I was quick to change everything over to my new initials. It can make a gift feel more special when it's personalized and these days what was normally reserved for the preppy types, there are a lot of chic ways to have your initials in home decor and accessories. One of my favorite designers for leather goods Clare Vivier is killing it with incorporating personalization along with her stylish accessories. Some other favorites are also listed below.

It seems every time I open my inbox I see another amazing sale going on at my favorite retailers. They are too good not to share so I thought I would do just that! Let's start with Saks Fifth Avenue who is offering 25% off almost everything in the store {some designers are excluded}. It's the perfect opportunity to stock up on bigger ticket items that you have been waiting to go on sale. My addiction for black and white continues as I just snatched up this Theory blazer and top and cannot wait for it to arrive. This LBD is some serious perfection with a moto jacket and sexy pumps for wearing now and later with booties and velvet tights as the temps drop.

I am seriously coveting some navy pumps for the days when I am feeling preppy. Comfy yet stylish flats for walking around my neighborhood. Destroyed denim has been one trend I am totally on board with this season and these AG leggings are the bomb.com. I love wearing mine with an oversized poncho and of course a statement necklace.
