Baby Boy Dooley - Bridgehampton Baby Shower

This past weekend my family and friends came together to celebrate our baby boy to be and I am still floating on cloud nine from all the love we received. It honestly felt like a combination of my birthday, our wedding day and christmas all in one moment. I don't think I stopped smiling the entire day. Being surrounded by so many of the incredible women who I have known my entire life spoiling our baby to be was a very surreal feeling to say the least. Everyone sharing stories of when they were starting their families, raising their kids and their birth stories was so lovely. I love learning new things from the women I have known forever. Having all my siblings and their families under one roof for the weekend leading up to the big day was also a special time I will cherish forever. It was a true family effort by every single person to make this day perfect for me and I will never forget that. A special heartfelt thank you to my mom and dad who made the day possible by hosting a celebration that exceeded all my dreams, love you guys! Some of the photos of our special day and details on where you can get everything is listed at the bottom of the post. Nine weeks till this sweet baby boy is in my arms....life is good.

Minted

Minted has long been a favorite source of mine for holiday cards, invitations, moving announcements and general stationary. I absolutely love the convenience that all my addresses can be printed on envelopes for me and they let you customize your project with colors, fonts and so much more. So when they reached out to me about their amazing art collection I was super excited to take a peak. First I was impressed with their helpful search engines allowing me to narrow down what I was looking for by the color palette. Since I was wanting to stay within colors that matched my existing home decor.  The next part was the selection of framing,  I loved that you are able to see each piece in every frame option. Lastly, they give you tips on other pieces that would work with the art you have selected and how it would look in a gallery wall for a visual interest.  I selected three prints, two for our city apartment and one to go along with a map that was gifted to my husband out at my families home on Shelter Island. I absolutely love how well the pieces work together and the two very different looks really show our personal style. One has a casual beach vibe with a weathered frame that perfectly matched my jewelry box we already had while the other prints are nicely layered on one another under our TV in our master bedroom in a sleek white wood frame.

p.s. please don't mind the ugly carpeting we are on the hunt for it's replacement ;)

I also used their gallery tool to create a little black & white wall, so fun to test out how pieces work together in a series.

Punch Of Pineapple

Sorry for the lack of a post yesterday. Ever have a day when everything goes wrong??? Well yesterday was definitely one of those days which included a flat tire, some plumbing issues and a slew of comical errors throughout the afternoon. Luckily by the evening everything had fallen into place and all was well once again.  While I was on the hunt for a gift for my Valentine I was noticing that the pineapple is having a major moment right now. I know, I know the pineapple has been pretty popular for some time now but I have seen a serious amount of stylish items from fashions to home decor that I am loving. I am personally digging the little pineapple photo below that you can pick your own custom framing and size, such an inexpensive way to add art into your home. So let's take a tip from our neighbors down South where the pineapple is a symbol of hospitality and welcome this tropical print into our homes and wardrobes. Oh & if you want a delicious pineapple cocktail check out my recipe here.
