Fall Florals

I used to only associate floral prints and patterns with Spring fashion. It honestly never occurred to me that with a swift change of a color palette that floral designs would work so well come the autumnal season. I adore the more moody tones of a floral print on an ivory or black backdrop and the rich berry tones that I have been seeing out in the shops. I rounded up a few of my favorite fall florals that will easily take your wardrobe into the season. I am personally loving them in accessories like these gorgeous Coach bags & those cute embroidered pumps with the block heel. I don't know about you but I cannot wait for a less busy schedule, cozy nights in, making comfort foods and getting snuggled up in blankets again. However I know come January I will be singing a different tune...per usual.

Color Combination Crush - Aqua & Cobalt

The other day my niece asked me my favorite color. I immediately shouted out blue but even these stylish little ladies asked for a more specific shade of blue {they were making me a friendship bracelet} which had me thinking about two colors I have been particularly drawn to as of late. Personally any shade of blue is ok in my book but I am particularly loving cobalt and aqua in its every form. I especially have been adoring the two hues together. Doesn't it just scream summertime and dining by the seaside??? Check out what I think would be a great way to entertain and what to wear with these two fabulous colors!

one - this glazed ceramic vase boasts a subtle design that makes mixing with other tabletop patterns easy breezy. I would obviously choose big blooms of blue or white hydrangea's to fill the vase with.

two - change how you think about table linens by selecting an oversized linen towel or throw for the base of your table setting.

three - without being too matchy-matchy this pitcher and tumbler set provides just a hint of color without being too overpowering.

four - I am completely smitten with these petite sea salt pouches, they would be such a pretty favor to give your guests from a fabulous soiree or dinner party.

five - this parting seas platter is not only pretty for serving delicious snacks, it would also make an incredible diy or even be gorgeous on display with other blue and white dishes.

six - growing up my mom always collected salt & pepper shakers so I always love to include them on my tables when entertaining.

seven - mixed striped napkins add a little whimsy to your table with this well curated set.

eight - change up your everyday cutlery with a modern painted bamboo set for casual dining.

nine & ten - busier patterns work great in placemats as you can tone down the look with more subdued patterns on dishes & bowls.

Meow

I dont know about you but when it comes to selecting a summer sandal I am always looking for a sensible heel height. Besides comfort being the obvious reason for this petite heel, city living is a close second. We walk everywhere in our historic neighborhood and this usually means that anything over three inches is a guaranteed face plant into some cobblestone. Because im a heels girl through and through, I am thrilled to see that this season the kitten heel has made a come back in a very stylish way.  I already picked up a few pairs for my closet {#5 & #8} and can happily report not only are they comfortable but it's just enough height to elongate the leg and not be wobbly walking around the city. So while I will always love a high heel, you will likely find me in some of the lovlies below this season.

white out

Is there anything more crisp clean & chic then an all white outfit??? {perhaps an all black outfit but we will save that for a fall/winter post} I am totally adoring white on white in all it's forms. Whether you wear it, decorate with it or host a soiree with this color as your all around palette you are sure to look pulled together and polished. I love it mostly in the summer but thanks to silly fashion rules such as "no white after labor day" being thrown out the window this look is acceptable in any season. Just take a look below at the beautiful styles of white on white ensembles.  My favorite is pairing it with a tan belt between the pieces to give your look a little added interest. The best part of this monochromatic style is that you can accessorize it a ton or none at all, either way you will look uber chic!
