Two weekends ago I took my husband up to one of our favorite destinations to celebrate his 35th birthday. Our tradition of visiting Maine started four years ago while attending a friends wedding in Ogunquit and since then we have fallen hard for the coastal town of Kennebunkport and keep going back for more. This year we stayed at the amazing The Tides Beach Club. I was so excited to call this place home for the night as we have dined here before and knew it was an incredible spot. We were definitely not disappointed. We checked in early, room was ready, lunch was amazing per usual and while the room wasn't huge it was seriously charming with its seaside chic decor.
I loved sitting on this porch with our cocktails watching the comings and goings of the Inn. There was a wedding the following day so the place was filled with happy visitors.
Watermelon cosmo with house infused vodka {so incredible} & front porch punch which should be called passed out punch it was so dang strong, John wanted a nap after one.
How gorgeous is this nautical inspired lobby?!
There are no words for those exquisite lucite bar stools. I wanted to steal one they are so fabulous. Perfectly paired with that caramel tufted leather bar and carrera marble top. If I had a bar in my house {totally could happen} I would want it to look just like this!
Can you even stand this Jonathan Adler Suite - I die.
Our Ocean View Room
{apologies for the terrible IPhone photos}
I loved this textured wallpaper & dark wood floors. Will be copying for a guest bath one day...
Outside our room was a hallway filled with gallery photos on both sides featuring photos of everything beachy, I love a good gallery wall and adore that it was on both sides without looking cluttered.
Earth which is located in Hidden Pond's lux resort was by far one the best meals we have ever eaten. Service was impeccable and the "farm to fork" cuisine was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is casual elegance which couldn't be more perfect for the Maine lifestyle. The interiors were incredibly decorated with rustic elements featuring lots of exposed wood logs, dark tufted leather couches and vintage lights that my husband and I were totally in love with and want in a future home one day as our "chandelier".
After dinner we walked the grounds and saw some people having their night caps on the outdoor dining areas. A group of women also were laughing around the outdoor fire quipped with blankets and wine to stay for the long haul. It reminded me that this place is perfect for a girls getaway too!
How adorable is this "potting shed" that you can have for a private dinner. A small group was having a gathering the night of our dinner and it looked positively splendid.
After a wonderful day at The Tides Beach Club we headed North to Otis, ME to visit my best friend who moved back home the day after our wedding. Lucky for us this was our view for the following 24 hours. It's absolutely amazing and I am so grateful that her parents kept their camp {what Mainer's call their summer house} open a month longer then usual but also gave us their master suite for the night. We walked into a house of home cooked meals, great company, great wine and FOUR furry friends. However Libby & Lola {below} were the only two to stay for a sleepover. Can you stand how cute they are??? I cannot!
