wedding wear

This time last year I was on the hunt for the perfect dresses for my wedding showers and wardrobe for our Caribbean honeymoon. The reminiscing had me thinking that wedding season is quickly approaching us again (our first will be next week for a very dear friend from home) and it's time to plan what to wear as guest this time around. I put together a few looks from day to evening weddings including casual elements along with formal attire. It's no secret that I love a wedding and I look forward to being on the other side of the event this season. I can't wait to share on my friends special day and dance the night away!

Adoring the look below for a garden or day time wedding. The short gold heel will ensure your dogs aren't barking all day/night & the flowy elements of the floral dress will allow you to eat your cake and not feel like your dress shows it!

The perfect little black dress has a the gorgeous cut out in the back to show some skin without looking trampy. I love the peplum-like skirt and adding some killer bright red nails & toes along with the most gorgeous glitter shoes ever made finishes this ensemble perfectly.

I clearly was obsessed with the purple/turquoise combination as I did this for my maids in my own wedding. I would love to venture out and wear it myself for a summer wedding. The colors combined scream beach chic to me and I think this ensemble would be stunning at a seaside soiree or summer city event.

Black Tie affairs seem too far and in between these days. I think brides are wanting more laid back and casual fete's for their big day. I however love a black tie event! When else in our life can we put on a floor length gown and truly glam it up. I would kill to see my hubs in a penguin suit too! the navy BCBG dress below is totally bringing sexy back with that drop dead GORGE back detail. I would keep all the accessories and shoes very simple to not steal the show from the bride.

Not Ready to make a splurge on any of the items featured above - try Rent the Runway. This fashionable site allows you to rent your dream dress without breaking the bank. Some designers that just seem to far our reach for owning are available for what is usually a small rental fee (depending on designer).  You can search by date of event, your size, type of event and or your size. It's simply fabulous and every person that I know who has used it has had a great experience. It's having the designer dress you covet without having to make the financial commitment - brilliant! Below are my four of my favorites to coordinate with the events above - go get your dress on!

Elizabeth & James nailed it on the head with this uber romantic & feminine high-low dress perfectly suited for a daytime or garden wedding

I hear you Tibi & always will - this loose fit maxi is perfect for a casual summer wedding

Robert Rodriguez is one of my favorites so I was not surprised when I was swooning over this heavenly LBD

this cobalt blue Moschino gown is simple & stunning with just the right amount of detail along the bust of the gown that adds a little flare to an otherwise would be bland dress
