Over a month of planning, purchasing and gift packaging Christmas has once again come and gone. It's now time to look forward to the new year and those pesty resolutions. Last year my then fiance and I spent New Years at Foxwood's to see comedian Chelsea Handler during her Chelsea Bang Bang Tour. While I thought it was totally hilarious it was pure torture for my husband, not only because the show was 99% women but the content of the show was mostly Chelsea bashing men for every little thing they do. The icing on the cake was our hotel room was ridiculously over priced and the casinos were so crowded that we couldn't get a drink at any table or bar in the place. So there we were - two sally sobers roaming a casino of drunk twenty somethings trying to get to our room to ring in the new year with Dick Clark all the while the hubs is trying to order champagne via cell in the elevator so we had at least one drink to toast to each other as the ball dropped. With just about two minutes to spare the bubbly arrived and we saw the countdown to 2011 all dressed up in our hotel room. It wound up being a perfect evening but we vowed to be more low key for the next years celebrations. Which leads me to our current new years eve plans - we will be celebrating in our friends beautiful country home with a bunch of other friends families for an adult sleepover. I absolutely cannot wait to ring in the new years where no one is driving and we are always guaranteed a drink! I put together three looks for those celebrating with a nice dinner, those who are staying home and finally the full glam sparkle and shine. What are your New Year plans this year???
