Boutique Crush - Phoebe & Belle

So last week threw me and my husband for a bit of a loop. One day he was complaining of some minor pain and the next day we are transported from one hospital to another for higher level of care and then a late night surgery. I don't want to go into too many of the details because the important thing is that he is now thankfully fine and that is all that matters. But I did want to say a thank you for returning back to my little corner of the internet after unexpectedly taking last week off.

While visiting our family in NY we stopped at a new little boutique located in Cutchogue, NY on the North Fork of Long Island. Phoebe & Belle is a gorgeous little home store selling everything from gardening goods to chic furnishings. I literally fell head over heels with every single thing in this store. I even picked up this cute little cloche {mercury candles are from my friend Kate's shop} for my bedroom makeover. Some snaps of the other items you can find in the shop are below but feel free to visit the site for a healthy dose of prettiness or the actual store for one of the most charming shops I have ever been to. I know I can't wait to go back for some holiday shopping!

Two's Company

A few snowy weekends ago I popped in one of my favorite local shops, Flat Of The Hill where I spotted the above trinket tray. I instantly fell in love with it. The saying is simple yet boasts some solid advice. When I got home I saw that the makers of the tray Two's Company has a slew of these cheeky porcelain trays with "wise sayings" on them. Quotes from people of the past, sayings of guidance and some that just have a little wit in them. While the tray above is my absolute favorite I just thought these were too good to not share. These will definitely be getting bookmarked for gifts in the future!

Boutique Crush - Twelve Chairs

Last week I attended the opening of a fabulous little boutique located in the trendy Boston neighborhood known as the South End. Twelve Chairs is a home furnishings boutique that also offers interior design services. The cozy shop is filled with perfectly curated home decor and unique gifts. I was completely smitten with every single piece in the space and wound up buying a few hostess gifts for our quick trip to Vermont as well as some everyday paper goods for our own use. I however have been dreaming of the lush sheepskin throws to replace the one we have on our couch so I think I will be heading back to the shop asap to stock up on some bigger ticket items. Take a look below at some of the photos I snapped in this super stylish boutique and if you are local, make sure to pop in!

The display for the Rifle Paper Company cards was so beautiful.

I was loving their mix of patterns and textures on all the furniture. That lovely little chair below totally was giving me a Missoni vibe. I would love two of them in an office for comfy meetings.

How awesome are these painted floors and stairs. Such a clever way to disguise old damaged floors.

This chalk piggy bank is such an adorable gift for kids big and small.

Soothing scented candles, vintage style recipe card holders & adorable kitchen papers

lots of whimsical framed art & modern covers of old classic reads

Those sheepskin throws are the softest thing I have ever touched and those bright pink pillows would be perfection for a pop of color in a neutral room.

Big thanks to my friend Amelia for inviting me & introducing me to such a city gem.

Paperie Perfection

My love affair with pretty paper goods continues on stronger then ever. I have a serious soft spot for unique and well designed pieces and that is exactly what today's post on MaeMae Paperie is all about. The uber talented designer behind the blog Megan Knight Gonzalez not only creates perfectly curated wedding suites that are far cry from your typical invitations but also creates everyday stationary with a whimsical twist, stylish note cards and so much more. While this online shop has been on my radar since 2011 when I got hitched, I feel the boutique is chock full of gorgeous goodies more then ever. Even her blog is truly an addicting dose of everything on trend in the wedding world and inspiration for stylish living in the everyday world. Check out some of my favorites of her incredible work below.

Custom stamps for everything from addressing, save the dates, favors or a business card...there is something to suit every stylish need you could ever have!
