Dooley Noted Style: That's a wrap!

Well folks, that's a wrap...I am officially done {for now} with the corporate world and I couldn't be happier! The laptop has been turned in and I am off with my main squeeze to Shelter Island for a week of watching my favorite pooch, cooking, relaxing and of course celebrating mothers day with two fabulous ladies. As often as we head home for family events I have never had a full week on the island so this week will be a real treat!. My work has always held us back from indulging in a long stay and now that I am free this is our chance to really have nothing to rush back to "the bean" for. Since I can easily get consumed by my mile long to do list of getting our home together and working on several projects with this time off I am taking this week to do nothing but things that make us happy and one of those thing is house hunting. While we have every intention of staying in Boston long term we love to explore the island for home styles that suit our tastes and to be stored away in an inspiration folder. One of the homes I love also happens to be down the street from my folks and participated in the island summer house tours series which I attended with my mom. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered this home and became weak in the knees with its simple modern style of living. There was no excess of any kind yet it looked totally welcoming and lived in. The best part was the homeowners were so effortlessly cool. No a drop of a pretentious attitude in their body {something that I believe separates Shelter Island from the Hamptons}.
