Thirsty Thursday - Pink Grapefruit Margaritas

Last weekend while on Shelter Island John and I decided despite the terrible weather we were going to imagine that there wasn't a snowy mess outside and drink and eat like it was summertime. This called for quick and delicious margaritas. I took a glance from my beloved Barefoot Contessa "How Easy Is That" cookbook for inspiration and created some tasty beverages for us to enjoy. While her recipe is very similar, I upgraded our booze with Patrons new orange liquor and silver tequila and added additional grapefruit juice for taste and garnish which I must say made these babies go down a little too easy...cheers!

The perfect accompaniment for this delicious cocktail is no big surprise but always a crowd pleaser. Which meant some homemade guacamole was in order to create the perfect sip & snack during our snowy day.
