After a wonderful long weekend on Shelter Island I have been longing for summer more then ever. It's so calm and peaceful out there in the winter months and lively and vibrant come Spring. I was lucky when my folks built their dream home that they let me decorate my bedroom within the house. While I am still totally happy with the furniture I picked out a few years back, I couldn't resist building a dream seaside bedroom with some of the items I have been pinning for inspiration in a future home. I am always drawn to grays & golds for colors, I find them calming and always on trend. To me it's beachy without being kitschy {who ever decided beachy meant starfish & shells had to be everywhere???}. I just love a casually styled room with a subtle touch of glamour.
