40 Rocks!

This past October I had the pleasure of planning my first official hired event for a client turned friend who was celebrating her 40th birthday. We started the planning late July and narrowed down all her must haves and ideas then got to work making it all happen. We knew we wanted a bold color palette that was modern and would work well with the autumnal season. Gold and grey was our kick off point for all decor and paper products. Once the invite was selected we knew we wanted to incorporate chevron and rugby striped patterns along with playful fonts to keep the overall look from not being too matchy-matchy but all well coordinated. Check out some of the beautiful custom paper products created for the festivities.

When it came to decor, mercury glasses lined the dark wood tables along with centerpieces of lush white hydrangea, smokey dusty miller, silver brunia balls, yellow yarrow, yellow billy buttons all adorned by silver mercury glass tea lights.  Lanterns lined the entrance stairs to the venue and larger windows on the inside along with smaller vases of more yellow billy buttons in petite white bud vases for the smaller tables. The signature cocktail was passed out as the guests entered the party and served in mason jars with grey and gold striped straws.
