Growing up Meg Ryan was definitely one of those woman I thought was all around perfection. I loved almost every single movie she starred in {hello sleepless in seattle & when a man loves a woman}. Even in my senior year of high school I sported that shaggy hair cut she wore so well. So when I stumbled on the above image of a beautiful Martha's Vineyard beach house on Elle Decor I was presently surprised that to find it belonged to none other then Meg Ryan. Even though this home was featured on the cover of Elle Decor 2010 I am still totally in love with it today. It just oozes charm, comfort and style in a laid back environment Something I think all homes should do. I would hate to have a house where someone couldn't feel free to put their feet up and get comfy. I adore the livable vibe of the home combined with the subtle decor. I wonder if she still lives there.
Who doesn't love exposed beams & high ceilings??? I die over those glossy dark wood floors.
A kitchen filled with windows totally works when you have a killer pantry to utilize for storage.
Simple & elegant entry with oversized mirror and a table to collect your things.
Smitten with the sliding doors and exposed hardware. The pops of color in accessories is just my speed.
More exposed beams, giant soapstone sink and vintage Edison light bulbs, yes please.
The decorative black and white flooring is swoon-worthy.
