no sleep till brooklyn

When I recently attended The Cream NYC, I was totally in awe of everything stylish and pretty in the world of wedding and event planning. The vendors were beyond kind and generous and really inspired me to follow my dream of having my own celebration and styling business one day,  just as they followed through with their dreams. My first stop at the event was the Morris Kitchen table. There I browsed a beautiful selection of creative home made syrups to use for creating the perfect cocktail or orchestrating a tasty feast. As I was soaking up all the beautiful vintage inspired apothecary bottles in front of me, I noticed that the labels on each bottle can not only be customized to however you wish to use the delicious syrups but are also letter-pressed! I nearly fell to my knees and starting praising this genius duo for such a chic idea,  I seriously die over anything letter-pressed, it's just so old fashioned and beautiful.

The brother and sister duo that started this company has curated a select few syrups with numerous uses from ice cream toppings, to a savory stuffing filling for a Thanksgiving dinner. They even source some of their ingredients from apple orchards in Upstate NY and bottle everything by hand in Brooklyn. Couple that with their unique letter-pressed packaging and you truly have a deliciously crafted item to be enjoyed whenever you wish.  I adore this product and know you will too!

These might just be the most unique wedding favor ever...I share a fun example below.

Also perfect for a business gift.

one of my favorite recipes

With Autumn right around the corner this drink is perfect to cozy up with on a crisp day!

Let's face it, wedding favors can get pretty dull. There are only so many bottle openers, bottle stoppers & little bags of jordan almonds one person can have {I secretly love jordan almonds}. If you ask me these days it's all about the gift bag for the destination {and mini destination} weddings.  I usually go through mine before bags are even out of my hands. So what do you say, how about we save the money on a favor no one really wants and put that towards a stellar guest bag for your friends and family. If I had discovered this product sooner, this is exactly what I would have done.

1. Choose you and your partners favorite cocktail {recipe is letter-pressed onto the bottle}.
2. Include all the fixings for that cocktail {see below}.
3. Select a stylish bag to hold all the goodies.
4. Note to your guests to enjoy the cocktail for a celebration of their own.

Ingredients
3/4 oz Morris Kitchen Ginger Syrup
    2 oz  tequila
    3/4 oz lime juice
1 dash of hot sauce (we like Cholula)
    Fresh cilantro

    Instructions
Combine tequila, lime, ginger syrup, cilantro and hot sauce.
Strain and pour drink over ice and garnish with sea salt and fresh cracked peppercorns.

    Voila!
