Around Here

Happy Monday friends, hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I sort of have been all over the place with ideas for todays post and thought I would create a smörgåsbord of things that are going on around here and some items that I have had my eye on lately, hope you enjoy this slightly miscellaneous post!

My love for neon continues on beyond wardrobe and parties and onto food. I am completely smitten with these bright little macarons in fluorescent colors from Dana's Bakery. I mean you can't go wrong with summery flavors like pink lemonade, orange creamsicle, pina colada and key-lime. I will most definitely be placing an order asap!
Currently reading this novel for my fabulous Beacon Hill book club. I love that it takes place in the thirties, a time period I truly find fascinating. Have you ever read this and have a review for me???

There is nothing like an old fashioned handwritten note. Unfortunately it's something that is often forgotten these days. There even is an app that will do it for you if you can't part with technology for such things. I however am a huge lover of all things paper and have been seriously coveting some new stationary since I got hitched. I am a huge fan of sending and receiving thank you notes so I think it's totally worth purchasing a new set for myself and this lovely little striped set is just the bees knees.

Statement necklaces are my complete weakness. I will never ever have enough and while I usually am completely loyal to J.Crew's lovely baubles, I really would love to add a Lulu Frost beauty like the one below to my growing collection. I am also totally digging her turbans for a chic beachy look that will keep your hair in place and looking stylish.

This past week I helped my sister throw a sprinkler party for my fabulous little niece. The weather was looking pretty grim with an 80% chance of rain but my mom called in favors to all our favorite peeps in heaven to give her the sunny day this little girl deserved just as she did on our wedding day and it worked. We had the best afternoon celebrating this sweet kiddo and all of our planning paid off with lots of smiles and laughs from our youngest family member and all thirty of her friends.

Finally we are out on Shelter Island for the week celebrating a belated Father's Day, my in laws anniversary, the 4th of July and some overdue family time with everyone under one roof. I couldn't' be happier with all the chaos that will take place over the course of the week. In my book nothing is better then a full house.
